We believe strongly that good driving habits start early. But we also know that quality driver’s education is expensive and burdensome for many New Mexico families.

That’s why we are extremely excited to announce our first web video contest, I DRIVE SAFE FOR NEW MEXICO! We will be awarding an ALL-INCLUSIVE DRIVING SCHOOL COURSE at McGinnis School of Driving to the FIVE winners of this contest (a $445.00 value)!

The McGinnis Minimum All-Inclusive Package includes:

– A total of 30 hours of classroom instruction
– A minimum of 7 hours of behind-the-wheel training
– Workbook and other materials to keep and refer to from the classroom participation.
– Certification of Completion for all MVDs.
– Access to E-Textbook over the course of the Classroom segment

And both the WRITTEN and ROAD portions of the New Mexico Drivers Examination.

Were looking for five new teenage drivers who are strongly committed to making our roads safer. So we need to hear from YOU about how you are going to commit to safe driving once you become a licensed New Mexico driver! And we want to hear from you in a video!

Entries are limited to new New Mexico drivers (never before licensed in NM or any other state), ages 15-18, who have never previously taken a drivers education course (either here in NM or in any other state). Your video entry can be anything you’d like a song, a skit, or just you speaking to the camera. It can be funny, serious, or something in-between. But make it stand out! Make it uniquely YOU.

You must enter at our FACEBOOK PAGE. Click the I DRIVE SAFE FOR NEW MEXICO! link in the left sidebar menu. Submit an entry form with your email and contact information, and a link to your video. Videos must be at least one minute long, but cannot be more than two minutes in total length. You can use either youtube or vimeo to upload your video (but not both). NO VINES. Video MUST be at least one minute in length, but no more than two minutes total! ENTRIES USING VINE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND DISCARDED.

Limit of ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, please. And, importantly, each entry must have their own video! You can appear in a friends entry video if you’d like, but if you want to enter the contest yourself, you have to have your own separate video!

The deadline for submissions is Midnight on April 19th, 2017. After that, we (Eva Blazejewski & Heather Hansen) will review all video submissions and we’ll choose the five winning entries. Entrants will be notified by phone/text and email, on April 25, 2017, and then announced on our Facebook page and here on our website. We’ll also post the winning entries on our Facebook page, here on our website, and on our youtube channel. Once we announce the winners, you’ll be able to sign up for your drivers ed course and we’ll pay for it!

You also agree that we may use your video and your likeness in our marketing materials, on our website, and on our social media accounts. DO NOT DO ANYTHING RISKY OR DANGEROUS IN YOUR VIDEO ENTRY. We are not responsible or liable for any harm or damage that comes to you or to others from any actions you undertake in the course of filming your video.
